All About The CatsHelping homeless cats in Bridgeport, CT and surrounding communities |
Spaying or neutering just one cat today can prevent thousands of unwanted kittens over the coming years. Visit Spay CT to enter your zip code and find services near you.
Some of the biggest obstacles to spaying and neutering strays and ferals are finances to pay the vet office, time to trap cats, transport of cats to the vet office, and short term foster homes for cats to recover after surgery. Feral cats are returned to their colony or placed in a barn or farm home. Friendly cats are placed with a parter rescue group who will adopt them out to a loving home.
If you are able to help with trapping, transporting a cat to the vet or providing a temporary foster home, please fill out the form below and we'll be in touch soon.
The graphic below shows the 2024 recipients of spay/neuter vouchers from the state to provide a free spay or neuter at a participating vet or clinic. Please note Feralcare is the same group as Nutmeg Spay/Neuter.
